Just like people, agricultural crops need the right nutrients and care to grow strong and healthy. AECI Plant Health focuses on helping your crops thrive!

Chad Minnaar from AECI Plant Health is part of the company’s technical team. His focus is on demonstration and registration trials for the research and development team. “The trials can take up to five years,” says Chad.

“AECI Plant Health is the agricultural segment of the parent company, AECI. AECI Plant Health is focused on the development, distribution, and technical support of agricultural chemical products. Both in-house and third-party products are distributed and supported by AECI Plant Health.

“We are present throughout South Africa and have also made our mark on the international market. We have a technical expert for every crop we offer agricultural solutions for, such as grains, apples, pears, peaches, plums, and citrus. This allows us to offer better advice to our farmers.

“We also make our own products. The products are thoroughly tested before entering the market to ensure their effectiveness and meet registration requirements. When we sell products from other suppliers, there are risks involved because we do not know everything about the product. By producing it ourselves, we reduce that risk.”

Chad Minnaar van AECI Plant Health is passievol oor gewasgesondheid en -tegnologie.

AECI Plant Health’s NuWay approach focuses on reducing chemical agents and improving plant health. This includes increased plant energy and natural resistance to pests and diseases.

Chad further elaborates on the various tests they conduct at AECI Plant Health. “In agriculture, it is important to remember that you will not see results in the first year, especially when thinking long-term about improving soil health, for example. This year, we had to replant our entire site. It clearly showed us the impact of crop rotation.”

Biocult®

Biocult® is spesifiek ontwerp om jou gewasse toegang tot meer voedingstowwe te gee.

One of AECI Plant Health’s flagship products is Biocult®, which they have specially designed themselves.

“Biocult contains mycorrhiza and trichoderma. It is manufactured in Somerset West and is suited to the South African climate. The product is used as a bio-stimulant that releases all the nutrients in the soil and makes them more absorbable for the plant. The plant provides the bio-stimulant with nutrients, and in return, the stimulant gives the plant the elements that were locked up,” explains Chad.
