When it comes to construction, you want to use netting that can keep your site as clean as possible. Many times, this means keeping dust and rain out. The question is… do you get netting that is water and dust resistant?
The simple answer is yes! Multiknit has just the netting for you. Multiknit’s perimeter netting is an attractive flexible barrier net used to demarcate building construction sites and restrict unauthorised entry.
Multiknit Perimeter Netting is a knitted lockstitch mesh fabric, manufactured from high density polyethylene, high-quality pigments and UV stabilisers.
Knitted nets
These knitted nets have an open lockstitch design that helps to reduce heat and wind speed inside structures. A unique feature of knitted netting is that it allows some stretch and shrinkage, which makes them suitable for different size areas.
Knitted nets have better air circulation than woven nets, which makes them ideal for areas where ventilation is essential.
All Multiknit nets use UV Stabilisers giving a min of 8-years against UV degradation … most 10-years, and all of them use the best Masterbatch colorants, keeping their colour for the longest possible time.
High density polyethylene
High density polyethylene (HDPE) is a thermoplastic polymer produced from the monomer ethylene. These nets are made from plastic fibres derived from HDPE and can be used for sport netting, agriculture and aquaculture netting as well as construction netting.
It is a lightweight, strong and durable material that is resistant to chemicals, weather and UV radiation. With a burning point of 120°C they might not hold up well against heat, however these nets are very strong.
Why choose Multiknit Perimeter Netting
There are many different methods of securing your construction site and Multiknit Perimeter Netting is just one of them. By choosing netting you can confine dust and debris created during construction.
It creates a barrier between employees and any physical or airborne contaminants that might form due to the construction process.
Compared to labour intensive alternatives, netting is easy to install, it is lightweight and portable. You do not need extra support to fasten it, and it does not require as much maintenance while still providing visibility for employees.
Multinkit’s Perimeter Netting is made of HDPE, high-last fastness pigments and UV stabilisers. They come in dark green which is a mixture between black and green yarns. They have a cover factor of 80% and come in 50 m rolls which are 1,8 m wide with a mass of 165 gsm. Fasten the eyelets on the sides and in the centre to help ensure your netting is secure.
