Nothing can stop a farmer. The ice-cold Harvester Races 2024 proved once again that there is not one thing that can keep farmers away from the excitement to attend this long-awaited day, to see which harvester will be crowned king. AGCO’s 8T Fendt harvester did not hold back and took third place in the Class 8 division of the race.
The Fendt harvester was developed at the global AGCO “centres of excellence” in harvesting technology. With inputs from countless farmers around the world, AGCO has developed the 8T combine harvester which is one of the most modern and advanced harvesters on the market today. Frans Cronjé, Fendt Salesman for South Africa’s face radiates satisfaction, when he speaks about the 8T.
The 8T harvester produces more output, better performance and is user-friendly. A 180-degree panoramic view from the Fendt’s cabin creates the perfect workplace with a window area of 5,75 m², and long-legged drivers can enjoy a comfortable seat during the long hours in the fields.
Steering is child’s play
To eliminate strain on the operator’s shoulders, the 8T has a steering joystick on the left armrest instead of a steering wheel. The left hand steers while the right hand controls the speed. The 8T gearbox offers two gears with a speed range of 0 to 15 km/h or 0 to 40 km/h. Large screens and cameras all around the harvester ensure that the operator always knows what is going on in and around this machine.
AGCO Power and MAN engines as well as proven transmission technology guarantees the 8T harvester is equipped for any task. Easy operation, efficiency, reliability and enough power are key features of the Fendt. The harvester has a 12,4 ℓ engine that produces 401 kW to master the toughest tasks, while still having extremely economical fuel usage.
The unique features on this striking, strong, black combine makes working in the fields look easy and effortlessly and it did not take much convincing for spectators to go and have a closer look. The 8T harvester sells itself!
