According to Brendon Puttick, Area Manager of AGCO, their stand is bigger and better than ever before. They showed farmers the wide variety of equipment they have that can bring value to any farm. “We want to be closer to you, the farmer!” he said.

Tractors and agricultural equipment that make a difference

One of the attractions at Massey’s NAMPO Cape stand was the introduction of their new MF 8S series tractors, which are already attracting great interest worldwide.

These tractors offer unmatched performance and comfort for farmers who are serious about their business. With powerful engines, advanced technology and fuel efficiency in a class of its own, these tractors have turned many heads.

Brendon says: “The Global series of tractors are in a class of their own and way ahead of their time. This includes the 47 to the 67 series, such as the 5709, the 5710 and the 6713. The tractors are also equipped with the well-known AGCO Power engine, which is one of a kind when it comes to effective fuel consumption that saves you money.”

Massey Ferguson’s flagship is the 8737 tractor with the highest power output of 376 kW (370 hp) in the Global range.

“Just like its smaller brother, the 7S 210, the tractor is equipped with a DynaVT gearbox. The smaller model is a real workhorse for general farm work, and then there is also the baby brother of the series, the 7S 155, which has a Dyna6 gearbox,” Brendon explains.

But Massey Ferguson’s focus is not only on tractors – the company is a true one-stop-shop for farm equipment.

The 9795 harvester will make short shrift of the vast grain fields of the Western Cape and elsewhere. The Class 7 harvester has a large tank capacity and excellent unloading capacity, and is equipped with a Field View function.
