Over the years, Northmec Implements has developed a dealer network that leads the way when it comes to sales, service, and support to Case-IH customers across many product ranges that are distributed nationwide. Year after year, Case IH drives strategic development with its long-time distribution partner, Northmec Implements.

This year, Northmec Implements again showed what they are made of at NAMPO  and showed new and well-known established products to farmers.

STORTI feed mixers

Bertus Barkhuizen, Product Specialist from Case IH, says: “We are proud to introduce a new product to farmers this year.”

Bertus tells about Northmec’s STORTI Boxer MT70 feed mixer imported from Italy. He explains: “This particular mixer is a 7 cubic, horizontal mixer. The 7 cubic size is a new addition that we brought in last year to fill the gap in the market. A big advantage of these feed mixers is their gear ratio. You can make much more feed mixtures with a smaller tractor. The feed mixer has three loading cells to provide the most accurate weighing action.

“This range of feed mixers starts at 5 cubic metres and extends up to 25 cubes. There are also three different mixing models: the horizontal mixers, a horizontal controlled mixer, and a vertical mixer to meet each farmer’s unique needs,” says Bertus.

Headers for harvesting in the NMI stable

Bertus explains that Northmec Implements also imports the Franco Fabril maize and sunflower harvester from Argentina. “This maize header is a robust harvester that can be obtained at  budget-friendly prices,” he adds.

In addition to the Franco Fabril series, Northmec also offers the well-known Geringhoff harvester. “It is a reliable series, with which everyone in the country is familiar,” says Bertus.

He adds: “They are available for 6, 8 and 24 rows, and also in two options: a fixed frame and foldable harvester.

“The Geringhoff harvester has been specifically adapted with accessories for farmers who harvest canola. You can also see the robust design of this harvester. If you look at the feed belts and the screen plates to reduce grain wastage, you can see that this is a harvester that can work and last. Geringhoff also used steel tubes in the production of their harvesters’ frames because they believe it is much stronger than angle iron.”

Kelly Diamond Power Series

At NAMPO 2023, Northmec Implements introduced the very first Kelly 3009 Diamond power harrow to South African farmers. At NAMPO this year, the 4- and 6-metre models were on display. Bertus says: “These models were also imported on demand, and we are excited to see how they will perform on South African soil.”

Bertus adds: “The Kelly series also includes a wide variety of disc configurations. At the back of this implement there is a chain which is pulled behind to level the seed bed.

“The tractor requirement for the 6-metre model is around 132 kW and for the 4-metre you can get away with around 100 kW,” explains Bertus.

“Because Northmec Implements is part of Case IH’s larger parent company, we have a wide distribution network across the country. Contact us or visit any Case dealer or branch to access any of our tool ranges,” concludes Bertus.
