There was great excitement among visitors to Rovic’s exhibition at NAMPO Cape. And no wonder, because Rovic offers the answer to farmers’ technology dreams.

“We have high expectations; we are very excited about NAMPO Cape,” says Philip Oosthuizen from Rovic. “We have a large range of implements here and the interest from the farmers are great.”

This year, Rovic held their exhibition at NAMPO Cape for the first time outside in the healthy fresh air. They had almost all their equipment that can be exhibited there, where farmers could look at it to their heart’s content and get all their questions answered.

Preparing for such a big event doesn’t happen overnight. “We started planning a month in advance! We had to prepare and make the implements nice and neat. The preparation at NAMPO itself also took a little more than a week. You think something is in place, but in the end, you move it again. Most of the implements here are manufactured in the Cape,” said Philip.

The Cape’s most popular product

Philip said their sprayers are very popular in the Cape. “We have always been very strong in the hay equipment, but our sprayers are growing. Our own range is performing very well – spreaders, balers and our new maize planter too. We want to expand our own product range even more.”

Together we are stronger

Some customers and farmers wonder why the former Rovic Leers is now known as Rovic. Philip says that it was a simple merger of names. “Nothing has changed except our name.”

Because most farmers in the area were already talking about Rovic, the logical decision was to keep the name as it is.

“It just says it easier!”
