Since 1975, New Holland’s Twin Rotor™ harvesters have proven to be the undisputed market leaders in terms of capacity, grain quality and power efficiency. With the continuous development of the CR harvesters in the following years, New Holland developed and improved these features with the latest technology for superior power output, performance, capacity, grain and straw quality.

Model variety

New Holland South Africa offers the following models:

  • CR9.90 (390 kW) equipped with 22″ rotors and sieve area of 6,5 m²
  • CR7.90 (309 kW) equipped with 17″ rotors and sieve area of 5,4 m²
  • CR6.80 (230 kW) equipped with 17″ rotors and sieve area of 5,4 m²

Top performances start with good product feeding

The CR harvester’s material feeder is equipped with the Dynamic Feed Roll™ (DFR) which ensures constant material flow to the Twin Rotor™, effecting a power saving of 7 horsepower (5,2 kW), and a capacity increase of up to 10%. With the straight and even flow of material through the TwinPitch Rotors™, the cleaning surface is evenly loaded for optimal crop and material separation.

The Dynamic Feed Roll (DFR) ensures a linear speed adjustment between the working modules to process even green and wet material. This means farmers can harvest earlier in the morning and later in the evening.

The TwinPitch Rotor™ effect

The TwinPitch Rotor™ system is designed for two important benefits:

  • The rotors: A concave opening always operates with sufficient spacing to give a crop-on-crop friction action that is much softer than crop-on-steel threshing action. The design ensures an efficient threshing action, especially with high volume yields.
  • To ensure the best straw quality and fuel consumption, it is critically important that the crop should remain inside the harvester for the right time – that is why the CR harvesters are equipped with the shorter 2,64 m rotor design. With the combination of the TwinPitch Rotor™ and Dynamic Flow Control™ there is a significant saving on fuel.

CR-DNA – Clean grain sample

The Opti-Clean™ cleaning system ensures optimal separation between clean grain and other material. It works in its own frame and can keep the system level even if the harvester tilts as much as 17 degrees, so the harvester is ideal for both level and uneven work surfaces.

The RotoThresh™ is the rethreshing system outside the main threshing area. This ensures the maximum capacity for all crops. The material and crop that has gone through the re-threshing process is dumped back onto the cleaning screen area and not into the main threshing area, so the main threshing area is not overloaded, and the grain is not damaged.

Opti-Fan™ technology compensates for the effect of gravity on crop material. When the harvester harvests on an even level, the desired fan speed can be selected. After that, the fan speed will be automatically adjusted when moving uphill or downhill.

Superior cab

The harvester’s cab is ergonomically yet simply designed, easy to set up, with everything needed to stay in control and get the job done – nothing more and nothing less.

Every adjustment or action required during the threshing process can be done quickly, while all the necessary information appears on the Intelliview IV™ monitor screens. From the cab, the operator has a clear theatre screen view of the material inflow to the harvester.

With the small grain harvesting season coming up, the New Holland CR harvesters are ready to once again collect crops from the land with the very best quality, productivity and optimal fuel consumption.
