Imagine the smell of lamb in the air, hundreds of feet bustling, and proud South African music in the background. This is a festival like no other. Naturally, it is none other than Lamb Champs.

Lamb Champs is an annual festival where sheep and goat farmers compete for the best, healthiest, and tastiest spit-roasted lamb. This year, Lamb Champs took place at the Botanical Gardens in Pretoria.

Judges inspect, smell, and taste the roasted meat to choose the winner. The lambs on the spit are distributed to the spectators for a delicious lunch.

Target shooting is a task that requires a lot of concentration!

Feasting with Case IH

Case IH is a proud sponsor of this event! The lamb was delicious, but the Case stand was even better.

Visitors flocked to the Case stand, where they sold clothes, hats, shoes, and small tractors. They also offered games where winners walked away with a variety of prizes.

Stephan Nel, the Managing Director of Case IH South Africa, is enthusiastic about Lamb Champs and sees it as an opportunity to network with other players in the agricultural industry. “It is a very enjoyable and sociable event. Many farmers and their families are here. We look forward to meeting many of our friends in the industry today.”

Stephan Nel proudly wears the Case IH emblem on his chest.

No event is complete without a few flaming red tractors to admire. “It is nice to come and look at a few of our show horses – our equipment, our tractors,” Stephan says. The Case tractors drew a lot of attention as always.

Case IH’s heart is open to farmers and the agricultural community. This is also the driving force behind their sponsorship of the event. “We are here to show our contribution to the community,” concludes Stephan.
